Feeling up for a Third Rock from the Sun (aka 3rd Rock) April Fools Day special? Well guess what? We don't have one. That's our April Fools Day prank - fell for it, didn't ya?
As far as we can remember (or as far as we can be bothered to find out), the theme of April Fools Day never surfaced during the show's six season (139 episode) run - strange but that's just the way it is. Instead our offering, on this the feast of All Fools, consists of this episode from season three when, still reeling from their break-up, Dick and Mary play a series of practical jokes on each other.

This is also the episode where actor John Lithgow reprises his role from the 1984 film, Footloose. Also notable for Sally and Don's first break-up - by the end of the season, all four Solomons will split with their respective partners and love interests.
This episode includes a guest appearance by actor Leigh McCloskey who, while not exactly a household name, seems to have notched up quite a few notable TV appearances throughout the 70s and 80s. Check it out on Wikipedia and his official website.
Finally there is Dick's observation about women that "you can't live with them yet you can't have heterosexual sex without them", which as Harry remarks is 'probably true'. Hard to disagree?
